The Planning Process
At Custom Design & Build, we pride ourselves on offering a simple, 7-step process that goes all the way from the earliest discussions to the final installation. Here is what you can expect:
- Reach Out To Us: First and foremost, you have to let us know that you’d like our help! Even if you’re not sure what exactly you want, you can give us an idea about ways you’d like to transform your residential or commercial space. Even something as simple as “I want my backyard to look more organized” (with a few pictures of the area) can be enough to help us start developing unique ideas just for you!
- First Phone Consultation: Once we receive the initial information about your project, we’ll want to talk to you directly to learn more about what you want the final results to look like. This will also help us learn more about the scope of the project and provide you with a ballpark budget.
- On-Site Consultation: Next, we’ll need to see the property in person so we can start taking measurements and discuss the project in greater detail. This step is very important, as it allows everyone to work together on a plan. After this consultation is finished, we can also provide you with a more precise quote.
- Q&A: This is the step where we discuss the specifics of the project — including materials, measurements, colors, and timelines — giving you the opportunity to ask any questions you might have. If and when you’re satisfied, we can come to an agreement and move forward with the project.
- Design: This step mostly happens on our end, as we need to get to work to design your dream build, whether it’s a fence, a stone pathway, or a multifaceted project. That said, we will work with you and keep you updated, particularly if we have any questions about specific design choices that weren’t covered during the Q&A session.
- Build: This is when we can finally get our hands dirty! With more than three decades of experience, we love building residential and commercial structures of all shapes and sizes. And most importantly, we really know what we’re doing!
